The real news is out there digging for facts on real topics - but it's where it's not for profit but exposing conglomerates - see news is an art - but sensationalism start - to bring ratings and top the charts - they get money - it's a business - you wanna know what's goin on read the Green Pages and witness - get The People's Weekly World - Teaching Tolerance Magazine - The Defenestrator - Worker's World - they put a stop to schemes - 'cause yo it seems if you live in the Philadelphia area - all the news talk of is murder - you probably heard of the hysteria - they stay getting their money off sensational headlines - investigative journalism don't figure in their deadlines - like looking at the cause of all these endings of these lives - why North Philly looks like Iraq and stays like that - why the military budget could knock poverty back (and end it) - we need investigative pieces of the independent news - don't rely on status quo - for the dough - corporate views - 'cause to blame people in Philly for the murders is straight racist - I blame the government for being money hungry and tasteless - when you make rich people richer - and stay ignoring the poor - of course you gonna have mass division and lasting wars - and Fox News is so loud they like kids when they fight - they got no logic and just yell what they think considered right - but all the major news they ain't asking the right questions - support the independent news and play my album for suggestions

Gettin' the news today you can see it don't seem straight - since Reagan abolished the Fairness Doctrine in 1988 - it's no debate but it was 'cause the doctrine required - the news to air all sides of a story - or they got fired - now that it's away - this in fact paved the way - for large corporations to charge in and have the say - they own almost all of the radio - TV - and the news - we got corporate profit centers disseminating their views - they don't care about poverty - the greed - or environment - they out for top ratings to sell more air space for buying it - airing stories that trivial like Paris Hilton or Michael Jackson that appeal to the shallow parts of our brain for a reaction - we need the Fairness Doctrine back if we wanna see the facts - I react by reading and viewing the news that attacks - the status quo news - that ain't news - it's a business - that help keep the country in the hands of the richest
